Remembrance Day

I love Remembrance Day. That may sound odd, considering it’s a day of somber ceremony, emotional tributes and serious reflection. For me, it’s all of that but also a celebration of the freedoms we enjoy because of those who died for our sakes. They died so we could live. So let’s live to the fullest, shall we?

Today I was covering the events in Cornwall that marked Nov. 11. A parade, speeches, the moment of silence, laying of wreaths. The hauntingly beautiful notes of the Last Post. For full coverage from the Standard Freeholder, click here. But otherwise, scroll down for some of the photos I snapped at the ceremony.
