Lunar eclipse

I was all set. My alarm was ready to go at 1:30 a.m. so I could get up and take photos of the lunar eclipse. Except the buzzer didn’t sound. Fortunately I woke up around 3 a.m. anyway, and spent two hours outside with my tripod, faithful Nikon D50 and an old school 70-210mm lens. Here are a couple of my shots.

Eventually I was forced inside by cold fingers and a severely depleted battery. But I’m so glad I didn’t miss it. A couple more of my photos are online here.
